Fun in the San Antonio Sun
My family, including my husband, kids, and the inlaws traveled to Texas during the summer of 2017 to San Antonio, Texas. We had a great time! I didn’t understand how many things there were to do in Texas. I truly am thinking about living there sometime in the not so distant future. The climate, the laid-back environment, and the culture make this astonishing city.
What we did during our three-day vacation was truly stunning. First on the rundown was SeaWorld. My entire family simply loved the ocean creatures and it was so enjoyable to see the dolphins and orcas. They put on such a fun, exciting and entertaining show. After the visit through SeaWorld and once we viewed all the submerged ocean creatures, we did the best thing we could think of; swimming with the dolphins!!! That was our first opportunity to swim with the dolphins. Before this, I had only watched other people in movies do it. Dolphins have such sweet and extraordinary personalities. I definitely didn’t expect for them to be such funny little individuals. I couldn’t believe it was happening. It felt surreal. What an amazing experience it was for me to be that near them. When I was able to touch one it was extraordinary, their skin was so luxurious and smooth. No matter how much it cost, it was worth every penny we spent on it. My children would not quit chatting about the experience. It made my heart swell to hear them talk so much about the experience. They were so excited and couldn’t wait to do it again. I imagine that is the best time they have ever had. I am definitely going to do it again with or without them!
Following up was the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. It was a fun affair for the entire family. They have traditional pub food and music memorabilia to take a gander at. I had been to a Hard Rock Cafe in San Diego when I was celebrating my 21st birthday oh so long ago! It was great to be there again and to see the reactions of my boys. They all love music. Despite the fact that it wasn’t my first time, it was a great experience to be there with the entire family.
The Buckhorn Saloon and exhibition hall and Texas Ranger Museum was another goal on our list that was certain to not disillusion. I have a group of all young men and they adored it! The structures, outfits and the format was awesome. My kids were hustling everywhere, starting with one thing then onto the next. I couldn’t keep up. They most loved the historical center where all the old firearms were kept. What a fun place to visit.
In addition, we went to the San Antonio Texas LBJ Ranch and Hill visit tour. I had never been to a farm this vast previously! It was astonishing! The young men adored this stop of the day. There was so much wide open space for them to run. My significant other and I discussed getting a small farm some time or another so the children had space to play. Although, this one would be somewhat above our affordability and a little too big for us! Once the boys were depleted of energy, we thought it would be a good time to get some supper. They boys always think they are starving. We sat and ate a few sandwiches and watched the sun set. The sky was a splendid orange and red, like tiny flames across the sky. It was such a great way to end to our first day in Texas.
